Tertiary Butyl Hydroquinone (TBHQ)
Tertiary Butyl Hydroquinone (TBHQ, CAS No. 1948-33-0) is a potent synthetic antioxidant of the phenol family based on the hydroquinone with tertiary butyl replacement. This special structure renders TBHQ very useful in oxidation and loss of quality control.
